2nd Lt. Alber was born in Portland, Oregon, he signed the draft on 16 Oct 1940 and was called to service on 12 Mar 1942 after attending Oregon State College for two years studying engineering. He was killed in a training plane crash outside of Platte City MO. While he might be buried in Clackamas Oregon, we do know he was survived by his parents and three sisters. His main hobby out side of the Army was photography.
