Major Gregory Stone left the Air Force in 2000 and joined the Air National guard. Maj Stone was killed in Kuwait by Army Sgt Asan Akbar when Akbar threw grenades into his unit’s tents on 22 Mar 2003 on Camp Pennsylvania, Kuwait and started shooting at the soldiers trying to get out of the tents.
