Imlah, Jack Selwyn

Born in Salem, Oregon 1st Lt Imlah earned a Bachelor of Science in Business. While serving in Vietnam with the Marine Corps Reserve Company D, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division he earned the Bronze Star with Combat “V” for heroic achievement on 15 Feb 1968. In the month of August, the 1st Battalion participated in Operation MAMELUKE THRUST in the southern part of Dai Loc and northern part of Duc Duc Districts of Quang Nam Province.

House, John Alexander

Born in New York, New York Capt House earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry through Oregon State University. While serving with HMM-265 Marine Air Group-16, transporting Recon Team Striker through Thua Thien Province, Vietnam, his CH-46 helicopter was shot down. All five Recon Marines and Capt House were killed. His remains were recovered 25 June 2012.  He was survived by his wife, parents, and his brother.

Holcomb, John Noble

Born in Baker, Oregon Sgt Holcomb is the only student on this list to have earned the Congressional Medal of Honor. His citation is listed below. While serving with the Company D, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division he was killed in Phuoc Long, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The Holcomb Park in Richland Oregon is named after him and he has a plaque in the Oregon section of the MOH Grove at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. He was survived by his parents and brother.

JOHN NOBLE  HOLCOMB

Harr, Gerry Arthur

Born in Multnomah, Oregon he commissioned as an officer out of the Oregon State University ROTC program earning a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture in 1967. During his first tour in Vietnam he earned the Distinguished Service Cross while serving with the Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry, 3d Brigade, 1st Infantry Division on 7 Apr 1968 as a platoon leader during a reconnaissance-in-force operation. Upon entering a hostile base came his team came under heavy fire, exposing himself to a “hail of bullets to fire an antitank weapon at a key bunker.

Goeden, Gene William

Lieutenant Junior Grade Goeden was a member of Attack Squadron 115, Carrier Air Wing 5 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS HANCOCK (CVA-19). On March 17, 1967, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Skyrader (A-1H) over North Vietnam, when the plane crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Dimmitt, Frank Robert

Capt. Dimmitt served as the intelligence officer and mortar company commander of the 101st Airborne Division. He was killed near Khe Sanh when the helicopter in which he was riding was shot down by small arms fire in South Vietnam.

Crary, Marrell Joseph

Born in Sacramento, California, 2nd Lt Morrell Crary enlisted into the Marine Corps on 27 Dec 1966. While serving with the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam he arrived in vietnam on 6 Oct 1967 and was injured a month later. He died aboard the USNH USS Sanctuary outside of Quang Tri, Vietnam while being treated for the wound. 2nd Lt Crary was survived by his wife, a daughter, and his parents.
