Biography
Cpl Blackden was an agricultural student. He died leading his squad to flank a German machine gun holding down his unit. He was wounded initially by small arms fire and when receiving aid was hit by shrapnel from a German shell fatally wounding him. His body was brought home 6 Aug 1921 for burial.
