Biography
1st Lt. Johnson enlisted on July 6th, 1942 to be a pilot in the Army Air Forces. After completing flight school in Williams Feild, Arizona he commissioned as a 2nd Lt. and went overseas. At the time 2nd Lt.Johnson, served as a P-38 Lightning, then P-51 Mustang fighter pilot in Europe as part of the 383rd Fighter Squadron, 364th Fighter Group. 1st Lt. Johnson was on mission when he went missing over Arnheim, Hollond on September 17th, 1944 and was later declared KIA. He was survived by his wife and parents.
