Earle, Frederick Raymond

Born 15 Sep 1920 in Concord, New Hampshire 2nd Lt Earle signed the draft in Corvallis while studying at Oregon State College, he enlisted out of Phoenix, Arizona on 15 Oct 1942.  While Serving with the 903rd Field Artillery BN, 78th Division, he was killed 7 Apr 1945 in Germany. 2nd Lt Frederick Earle was survived by his wife, mother a step father and a step brother.  

Dunham, Donald Beeson

Maj. Dungam joined the California National Guard before being called into active service with the rank of captain serving as an instructor at camp Roberts. He was promoted to Major, and was transferred to the paratroopers and received the Purple Heart. He died trying to bring reinforcements to his surrounded regimental headquarters and earned the Distinguished Service Cross posthumously.

DuFrane, John "Jack" Louis

"On 16 January 1942, then-First Lieutenant John Louis Dufrane, Jr. was serving as a Pilot of a B-17E Flying Fortress bomber with the 9th Bombardment Squadron, 7th Bombardment Group (Heavy), 10th Air Force in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations. On that day, 1LT Dufrane's unit was in action against Japanese forces while participating in a bombing mission over Java. 1LT Dufrane's courageous actions and extraordinary heroism that day earned him the U.S. Army's second highest award for valor, the Distinguished Service Cross.

Dobell, Roy Herbert Jr.

Pvt. Dobell became a prisoner of the Japanese Army while fighting in the Philippines, 1942.  "The Japanese ship "Shinyo Maru" was loaded with 750 U.S. POW's in the cargo holds. The U.S.S. Paddle (SS-263), not knowing that American POW's were on board, fired torpedoes at the ship off the coast of Mindanao and sank it. Some Japanese guards shot prisoners as they struggled from the holds after the attack or were in the water." https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/56787791
