Van Cleve, Joseph David

2nd Lt. Van Cleve was born in Salem Oregon. He signed the draft on 16 Feb 1942 and was called to service on 12 May 1942. He started attending Oregon State College in the military. While attending Oregon State College Van Cleve became the Rosswood Club Treasurer, an Independent Student Council member, and was apart of the lamplighter group (campus magazine). He graduated in with a degree in Science and became an Officer on 7 Jul 1945. While serving with the 252nd Bomb Squadron, 3rd Base Unit he was killed in a plane crash in Medina Texas.

Udick, William Henry

2nd Lt. Udick was born in Ontario Oregon, he signed the draft in Alaska in 1941 and was called into service on 12 Mar 1942 out of Idaho. He started out going to school at the University of Oregon before attending the Oregon State College in 1941. He was killed in the European Area when his B-17 Fortress suffered Structural damage mid-air and crashed while serving with the 511th Bomb Squadron, 351st Bomb Group. He was survived by his parents.
