Capt. Geary was born in the Oregon Territory 2 years before Oregon became state, in the area called Linn County. He was the commandant at O.A.C. at the time of the Spanish-American War, and was killed in the Philippines. He was survived by his wife.

Pvt Wilmot was born in Oregon, he signed the draft on 24 May 1917 in Portland, and died while serving in the Spruce Division in Clallam County Washington from Pneumonia. He was survived by his wife, parents and a brother.

PFC Williams was born in Hood River, Oregon. He registered for the draft on 16 Oct 1940 and was called into service on 17 May 1944 in Fort Lewis Washington. He was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium while serving with the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Company G. He was survived by his wife and his parents.

Maj. Wilkins was born in Portland Oregon. While serving with the 20th Fighter Group He went missing. According to the Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) #1437 Maj Wilkins had problems taking off for his mission on 7 Nov 1944, he ended up taking off on the wrong runway 7 minutes after his formation had already left. According to the report there were no communications after takeoff, neither he nor his P-38H Buno #42-67022 were seen again. He left behind a wife and two kids.
Chester Wilcox was born in Portland, and signed the draft on 15 Jun 1917. He died in Camp Fremont California. His brother Artemus Wilcox created a poultry research scholarship in memory of him in 1961, this was to be an annual scholarship given to an outstanding student in poultry husbandry, with the first recipient being Stanley Kellerup.
SSgt. Whitfield was born in Portland Oregon, he signed the draft on 16 Oct 1940 and was called to service into the Army on 30 Dec 1941. He started his college career here at Oregon State College then transferred to Stanford University graduating there in public accounting. He was killed in Alaska while serving with the 340th Engineers, and was survived by his parents.
