Biography

Maj Arnoldus was born in Summerville, Oregon. HIs field of study at Oregon State College was Chemical Engineering graduating in 1941. While serving with the 20th Air Force, 58th Bombardment Wing, 468th Bombardment Group 793 Bombardment Squadron he went missing over the China-Burma-India region on the B-29-15-BW #42-6370 “Lethal Lady” of which he was the Navigator on. His body was never recovered. The later ruling was that his aircraft crashed into the sea near the Singapore Naval Base during his nighttime mission. During his time in service he was honored with the responsibility of flying Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt when she made her trip to the pacific. He was survived by his wife and parents.
