Biography
After two years at Oregon State College(OSU 1937 - 1961) 1st Lt. Benson went overseas in January, 1945. 1st Lt. Benson served in the Leigurian mountains Naples, Italy with the 10th mountain division, 87th infantry regiment, during the battle for Mount Belvedere. 1st Lt. Benson was KIA during an attack while the 10th was moving near Mount Torraccia. He was survived by his father and mother.
