Bissell, Robert Wickham

SSgt Bissell served as the nose gunner on B-24 #41-29220 in the 451st Bomber group, 725th squadron during WWII. During a mission to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, #41-29220 was shot down by enemy anti-aircraft artillery, and crashed in Mostar, Yugoslavia. Of the 7 crew members, 4 died and 3 were taken prisoner, with SSgt Bissell losing his life in the crash. SSgt Bissell was survived by his wife.
