Born in Ladoga, Indiana, 2nd Lt Farnsworth entered the service on 17 Jan 1942 out of Portland. While serving with the Army Air Corps 319th Bomb Squadron, 90th Bomb Group his plane was lost somewhere over the South Pacific. He was survived by both parents, two sisters and a brother.
