Biography

Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts 2nd Lt Hyland was a teaching fellow in Zoology here at Oregon Agricultural College he taught here from 1914-1915 while he was also working on his Graduates Degree in Agriculture. He went on to teach in California before being called into service. WHile serving with the Army’s Company F, 127th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division he was killed in France. He was survived by his parents and two brothers.
