Biography

Born in Portland, Oregon in 1911, 1st Lt Keasey attended the University of Oregon Before transfering to Oregon State College graduating in 1941 with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. While serving with the Army Reserves Corps of Engineers  he was taken prisoner by the Japanese during the fall of Bataan and survived the Bataan Death March, and a POW Hell Ship torpedoing in December of 1944. He died from acute colitis while a prisoner on POW Camp #1-Kashii Kyushu Island 33-130. He was survived by his mother and four sisters.
