Royal Canadian Air Force

Born in Pendleton, Oregon, Flying Officer Olsen studied at Oregon Agricultural College for two years, his major was not published by OAC. He chose to fight the war before the US joined into WWII, as such he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, swearing his willingness to serve but refused the oath of allegiance to Canada. While serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force 405th Squadron, 4th Group, he went missing on 1 Oct 1942. 27 Halifax Bombers of 4th Group attacked the U-Boat Base at Flensburg, Germany, 12 of which were lost amounting to almost half of the force.

Born in Elmer, Minnesota Flying Officer Langmack earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1927. He chose to fight in WWII prior to when the United States entered the war, so he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. While serving with the Detachment Suffield Alta he died when the Westland Lysander MK III Aircraft #417 he was co-piloting crashed in Medicine Hat, Canada. He was survived by his mother and brother.

Flight officer Gilkey was a student at OSU until 1935. Seeing the need to fight in Europe, and the unwillingness of the US to enter the war, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. While serving, and fighing for Canada Flight Officer Gilkey never swore allegiance to Canada. He was survived by his wife when he went missing during a reconnaissance flight from Marseilles France, to Geona Italy on 28 Dec 1943.
