Kreutz, Alfred Wilson

Born in Taft, California 1st Lt Kreutz studied Business Administration while attending Oregon State College. While serving with the Army Air Corps’ 321st Bomb Group, 448th Bomb Squadron, his B-25C #42-64655 he was a bombardier on was shot down over Italy. The Missing Air Crew Report # 4193 covered this incident. He was survived by his wife.

Korell, Walter Henry Jr.

Born in Portland Oregon, 1st Lt Korell attended both the University of Oregon and the Oregon State College, we don’t know what the degree he was working towards as he kept to the lower division classes during his time at OSC. While serving as the Executive Officer for the Army’s 393rd Infantry 99th Infantry Division 1st Lt Korell was killed in Germany. He was survived by his parents and his two sisters.

Kelly, John George

Born in Grants Pass, Oregon 1st Lt Kelly spent only two years here at Oregon Agricultural College  in 1908 and 1909 before taking time off from college and then transferring to U of O in 1912, where he graduated in Forestry in 1914 as a member of Sigma Chi. While serving with the Army Engineers Company A, 10th Engineers  he was killed in France due to a motorcycle accident. He was survived by his wife, son and daughter, parents and five sisters.

Keasey, Richard Alden

Born in Portland, Oregon in 1911, 1st Lt Keasey attended the University of Oregon Before transfering to Oregon State College graduating in 1941 with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. While serving with the Army Reserves Corps of Engineers  he was taken prisoner by the Japanese during the fall of Bataan and survived the Bataan Death March, and a POW Hell Ship torpedoing in December of 1944. He died from acute colitis while a prisoner on POW Camp #1-Kashii Kyushu Island 33-130. He was survived by his mother and four sisters.

Johnson, Michael Edward

"Marine 1st Lt Johnson was assigned to 7th Communications Battalion, 3rd Marine Headquarters Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan. He was ordered to take his team to a small village of Ganjgal where the leader had requested their presence. This appears to have been a set up, as the insurgents ambushed them with overwhelming odds. Johnson was wounded and was being attended by a naval medical corpsman when they were both killed. Mike was always a hard worker. During his high school years, he held down jobs at surf shops, restaurants and pools.

Johnson, Harry Jr

1st Lt. Johnson enlisted on July 6th, 1942 to be a pilot in the Army Air Forces. After completing flight school in Williams Feild, Arizona he commissioned as a 2nd Lt. and went overseas. At the time 2nd Lt.Johnson, served as a P-38 Lightning, then P-51 Mustang fighter pilot in Europe as part of the 383rd Fighter Squadron, 364th Fighter Group. 1st Lt. Johnson was on mission when he went missing over Arnheim, Hollond on September 17th, 1944 and was later declared KIA. He was survived by his wife and parents.
